The National Universities Commission has given Salem University, Lokoja, Kogi State, full clearance to operate seven more academic programs there. This information was provided in a letter dated March 9 and signed for the NUC Executive Secretary, Professor Abubakar Rasheed, by the Deputy Director, Programme Accreditation, Arc. S.S. Ikani.
Professor Alewo Johnson-Akubo, vice chancellor of the institution, revealed this information to newsmen in Lokoja on March 22.
Computer Science, Information Technology, Geology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, and MSc/MBA Business Administration are the seven recognized BSc programmes.
